Joe is the founder of Oakridge Capital and provides strategic advice to his clients on real estate projects, private equity investments, structured financings, and corporate operations. His clients include domestic and international companies, PE funds, and ultra high net-worth family offices.
In addition to running Oakridge Capital, he currently serves as a Managing Director at City Century LLC and as an advisor to Keystone USA / HGC USA. Joe has a diversified background in investment acquisition, development and construction management, and corporate finance. He has a solid track record of identifying, developing, managing and divesting a variety of asset classes by providing leadership and overall management control.

• Project Director at City Century, managing the company’s day-to-day operations, investments and development projects. Led the development of the $1 Billion Olympia mixed-use project located in downtown Los Angeles.
• Member of the Real Estate Board of Cottonwood Group, an investment management firm that manages over $2 Billion in committed and deployed capital in the United States.
• Senior Vice President & Director of Development at MacFarlane Partners, which provides real estate management services to institutional investors and manages over $3 Billion in real estate assets. Oversaw the Park Fifth project, a luxury high-rise & mid-rise apartment project in downtown Los Angeles.
• Managing Director at Fosun Property Holdings, the U.S.-based subsidiary of Fosun Group, one of China’s largest private conglomerates with $54 Billion of assets under management worldwide. Managed direct real estate and private equity investments in North America.
• Vice President & Project Director at Greenland USA, a U.S.-based subsidiary of Greenland Group, one of China’s largest full-service real estate companies. Led the day-to-day operations including development and construction management for the $1.5 Billion Metropolis, a hotel, residential and retail mixed-use project located in downtown Los Angeles.
• Chief Operating Officer at Mandarina Crown, the owner and developer of the $1.5 Billion Mandarin Oriental Taipei project, consisting of a luxury hotel and branded residences and upscale retail shopping mall.
• Vice President of Investments & Development at the CIM Group, a real estate private equity firm and developer with over $31 Billion assets owned and managed. Managed urban investments in Los Angeles, Miami Beach and New York City.
• Project Manager at K. Hovnanian Homes, a national home builder. Specialized in the acquisition and development of urban infill projects in southern California and supervised a broad range of project specific activities, including project acquisitions, project feasibility analysis, budgeting, scheduling, vendor supervision, construction and quality control.
• Project Manager at Intracorp, a Canadian and U.S. home builder. Oversaw the development of mixed-use condominium projects in the greater Los Angeles market, managed commercial and residential developments in Seattle, and reported directly to the CFO on a variety of project and corporate finance matters.
• Leasing & Development Manager at Sabey Corporation, a national data center developer & operator. Managed the leasing and development operations for one of the largest multi-tenant data centers totaling 1.6 million sf.
• Project Planner at Cascadia, a 4,500 acre master planned community located in Washington State. Coordinated the entitlement process and prepared, reviewed and implemented complex planning operations.

Joe is the CEO and Project Director at City Century, LLC, and manages the company’s investments and development projects. He oversees the day-to-day operations, including the $1 billion Olympia Project in downtown Los Angeles. Joe has a diversified background in investment acquisition, development management, and corporate finance. He has a solid track record of developing and managing a variety of asset classes by providing leadership and overall management control.
Joe is also an advisor to Keystone USA/HGC USA and a principal at OAKRIDGE CAPITAL. Joe provides strategic advice on real estate development projects, PE investments, and corporate operations to companies, PE funds, and family offices. Keystone USA and Henry Global have a track record of raising over $3 billion for US real estate investments.
Previously, Joe was a member of the Cottonwood Real Estate Board. Cottonwood manages over $2 billion in committed and deployed capital in the United States. Joe was also the Senior Vice President and Director of Development at MacFarlane Partners and was in charge of the Park 5th project in downtown Los Angeles. MacFarlane has provided real estate management services to institutional investors since 1987 and manages $3 billion in real estate assets.
Previously, Joe was the Managing Director at Fosun Property Holdings and oversaw direct real estate and private equity investments. Fosun Group is one of China’s largest private conglomerates with worldwide operations and $54 billion of AUM.
Prior to Fosun, Joe was a Vice President and Project Director at Greenland USA and oversaw the day-to-day operations of the $1.5 billion Metropolis Project in downtown Los Angeles. The Greenland Group is one of the largest State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) in Shanghai and a leading full-service real estate enterprise in China.
Joe also previously served as the Chief Operating Officer at Mandarina Crown, owner and developer of the Mandarin Oriental Taipei Project. The 5-acre Mixed-Use Project consists of a 303-room Hotel, retail shopping mall, and 26 branded residences with a project cost basis of $1.5 billion.
Joe was also a Vice President with the CIM Group and managed urban investments in Los Angeles, Miami Beach, and New York City and provided leadership to the CIM team and support staff. CIM Group is a Los Angeles-based real estate private equity firm that pursues urban investments focused on traditional downtowns and densely populated urban communities.
Prior to the CIM Group, Joe was at K. Hovnanian and specialized in the acquisition and development of urban in-fill projects. Joe supervised a broad range of project-specific activities, including project acquisitions, project feasibility analysis, budgeting, scheduling, vendor supervision, construction, and quality control.
Early in his career, Joe was a Project Manager with Intracorp Los Angeles and oversaw the development of mixed-use condominium projects in the Greater Los Angeles Market. He also spent four years in the Intracorp Corporate Office in Seattle, Washington, where he managed commercial and residential developments. He also reported directly to the CFO on a variety of project and corporate finance matters.
